Scientific and Ethical Advisory Board (SEAB)
The Scientific and Ethical Advisory Board (SEAB) of QSPainRelief was an external consultative body which formed to ensure and improve the scientific performance and the quality of results of QSPainRelief. The SEAB advised the General Assembly (GA) and the Project Management Office (PMO) upon request, and provided non-binding advice as decision-making support. Members of the SEAB were invited to attend the annual GA meetings to monitor the progress within each work package, assess the scientific quality of the work, and provide critique and feedback, but SEAB members did not have the right to vote. The SEAB also considered and addressed potential ethical issues.
Impact and Innovation Board (IIB)
The Impact and Innovation Board (IIB) consisted of junior and senior members of QSPainRelief, from academia and industry, as well as patient representatives. The IIB designed a structured communication plan for dissemination and the exploitation of the project’s results, monitored the steps being taken and oversees and evaluated the comprehensive internal and external dissemination of the project’s results and knowledge gain (together with the Project Management Office and WP9). In addition, the IIB was assigned the responsibility for filing and protecting new intellectual property rights (IPR), and the IIB developed and monitored exploitation agreements for new IPR.
